Waiting For The Sunset

Capo Caccia: Cocci rotti cave

Otherwise known as the cave of the Broken Vases, it earned this name after some fragments of ceramic furnishings belonging to the Neolithic period were discovered inside it. The cave is little known, outside the canonical tourist circuits. To reach it you have to climb up a trekking path,on a rough, dirt road which will take you to your destination in about twenty minutes. There is no signposted path, so you will probably grope around a bit amongst rocks and bushes, before you find it. Nevertheless the effort will be amply rewarded by the view that will open up before your eyes: an infinite panorama.
