The perfect holiday for cyclists and nature lovers in Southern Dalmatia. With us you will discover the beauty of the island of Korcula, the wine peninsula of Peljesac, sunny Hvar and the unspoilt nature of the island of Mljet, part of which is a national park. A great opportunity for an active holiday .

 

 

 

CYCLING: We will cycle in small groups of 3-4 cyclists, within sight of each other and obeying the rules of the road. We adjust the pace so that everyone enjoys the ride. At the top of the hills we wait.

BIKE & EQUIPMENT: we recommend a mountain or trekking bike with the appropriate gear ratios or a “gravel bike” (a special bike for gravel). Helmets are compulsory. Personal equipment, bidons and drinks, small cycling backpack, first aid kit, mini air pump, tool kit, spare tubes.

ARRIVAL PLACE: airport SPLIT (Croatia), optional airports ZADAR, RIJEKA or ZAGREB with a transfer of guests to the port of Split by highway.

 

DAY 1 – SPLIT AIRPORT – SPLIT FERRY PORT AND TRANSFER TO KORČULA

After landing in Split, guests and equipment are transferred to Split and the ferry port. Take the ferry to the island of Korcula (Vela Luka) and continue to Lumbarda, where you will check into your hotel. Free time to rest, dinner. After dinner, short presentation meeting with the cycling guide. Overnight.

DAY 2 – KORČULA – TRIP TO ŽRNOVO – PUPNAT – NORTH COAST AND TOWN OF KORČULA

Breakfast and departure for the cycling tour. From the hotel, we head along a partly asphalted and partly macadam road towards the interior and the village of Žrnovo. After a short stop, we continue along the main road with a climb to Pupnat, which lies at an altitude of about 400 m. From Pupnat, it is first a short drive to a saddle from where you descend to the north coast of the island. We make a short hop to Gračišče, where the road ends, and then turn around and cycle all the way to Korčula. Stop. In the afternoon, return to the hotel in Lumbarda. Free, dinner. Overnight.

STAGE DATA: 43 km, ascent 610 m

DAY 3 – KORČULA – FERRY TO THE PELJEŠAC PENINSULA AND NICE RIDE OF VINE AREAS

Breakfast and bike ride to the port to board the ferry. Ride to the Pelješac peninsula and the town of Orebić. From here, it’s a steep climb, some of it steeper, up the main road to the ridge of the island, before continuing to the vineyard site of the famous Dingač. From there, we will drive through an interesting tunnel and arrive above the southern coast. Remarkable panoramas will accompany us on the way back to Orebić. Ferry and drive to Korčula and hotel. Free. Dinner. Overnight.

STAGE DATA:  47 km, 810 meters in ascent, mixed terrain

DAY 4 – CYCLING AROUND THE ISLE OF THE SUN – HVAR

This time we will choose the “packed lunch”, as we will set off at around 5:00. We will take our bikes to the port of Korcula, from where we will depart for Hvar via the Pelješac Channel at 06:00. Arrival in Hvar at 07:35, a short coffee in the beautiful town of Hvar, then cycling around the hilly island, first climb to Grablje, then across the central back towards Stari Grad. A stop and free time. Continue along the dirt road towards Vrboska, which is situated by an interesting water channel. In the afternoon we head south, again crossing more mountainous areas, descending into the town of Milna and cycling along the southern coast to Hvar. Board a catamaran and sail to the island of Korcula. Just before dinner at the hotel, we have a 5 km bike ride to the hotel. Dinner, overnight.

STAGE DATA: 52 km, 880 meters in ascents, mixed terrain

DAY 5 – ON THE SOUTH COAST OF KORČULA TO VELA LUKA – AFTERNOON TRANSFER TO HOTEL

Early wake-up, luggage preparation and check-in, then we’re off for a bike ride. This time we will start with a gentle climb towards Žrnov, then continue to the village of Pupnat. We descend to the south side and ride along a beautiful panoramic road that leads above the harbour of Pupnat and under the high cliffs and through vineyards towards Smokvica. After a refreshment stop, we continue to the south coast, where the romantic town of Brna and the beautiful coastal path await us. From there, it’s a long climb up to the ridge of the island, and finally a descent and some serpentines to the town of Blato, located in the interior of the island. A rest and then continue to Vele Luka, where we will finish our cycling. We will take a bus and a caravan to our hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

STAGE DATA: 55 km, 810 vertical meter in ascent, mixed terrain

DAY 6 – BIKE TOUR TO MLJET ISLAND

Breakfast, bike preparation, then we head to Korčula, where we board a fast boat that will take us to the western part of the island of Mljet. We will explore the island by cycling along the panoramic road to the town of Sobra, where we will make a longer stop. We will return along this route to the harbour of the island, where we will board the fast boat in the late afternoon. We will return to Korčula and then take a short bike ride back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

STAGE DATA: 56 km, 1100 vertical meter in ascend, asphalt

DAY 7 – KORČULA – FERRY TO SPLIT

Breakfast at the hotel. Later, transfer of passengers and bicycles to the port of Vela Luka. Ferry to Split. After disembarking at the ferry port, transfer to the hotel. Free. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 8 – TRANSFER TO SPLIT AIRPORT – RETURN FLIGHT

Breakfast. Transfer to Split Airport for return flight.
